Grow Bag - Uninoculated

Uninoculated Mushroom Grow Bag

Grow Bag Instructions

Description

These are grow bags that consist of a bottom layer of grain spawn, a millet/sorghum mix, and a top layer of substrate that consists of coco-coir, vermiculite, and gypsum. It also has an injection port, to stick a syringe in, which is the white sticker on the bag at the bottom.

Instructions

1.) Take your grow bag and syringe and wipe everything down with isopropyl alcohol.

2.) Heat the needle until it is red hot and inject 2 - 5 ms of multispore syringe (MSS) or liquid culture (LC) into the bags injection port once it has cooled for a couple of seconds.

3.) Wait for the white mycelium to colonize the grains/bag to about 30%.

4.) Massage bag to break up the mycelium clump and spread it out throughout the bag, do this without opening the bag

5.) Once completely colonized, cut a few small slits into the top of the bag to promote airflow

6.) It will take 7-14 days for the pins to show up (baby mushrooms) and then you can cut off the top of the bag.

7.) If the bag does not have condensation, mist the sides of the bag gently with water, and place somewhere it can get plenty of fresh air.

8.) Harvest the mushrooms once the veil breaks and the cap starts to flatten.
