Description

Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) mushrooms look like white pom-poms and have culinary and medicinal uses. It is rich in thiamine, riboflavin, and niacin. It can be enjoyed cooked, raw, dried, or steeped like tea. Pre-clinical studies show it may reduce inflammation, improve cognition, and can increase the length of nerve cell processes. The flavor is like seafood and is cooked as a crab meat replacement in crab cakes and more.

Instructions

1.) Place grow bag on a table or shelf inside at room temperature (55oF – 70oF) with medium, indirect sunlight.

2.) Watch the white mycelium colonize throughout the bag..

5.) Once completely colonized, cut an “X” in the side of the bag and mist with tap water from a spray bottle 2-3 times a day.

6.) It can take 5-14 days for pins (beginning of mushrooms) to form after cutting into the bag.

7.) Mushrooms will be ready to harvest 2-7 days after pins form.

8.) Harvest after ‘teeth’ have formed and have a spongy feel when gently squeezed, but before they begin to dry out and turn golden brown. Cut with a knife or scissors close to the bag.
