pioppino
Grow Bag Instructions
Description
Pioppinos mushrooms (Agrocybe aegerita) are top fruiters, so they like to grow from the surface of the block upwards. They are velvetty mushrooms which contain antioxidants and taste nutty with a sweet and peppery flavor.
Instructions
1.) Place a grow bag on a table or shelf inside at room temperature (63oF – 73oF) with medium, indirect sunlight.
2.) Watch the white mycelium colonize throughout the bag, if it hasn't already yet
3.) Once bag is fully colonized, cut off the corners of the top of the plastic bag to encourage airflow in and out, but not too large of holes as this would create a non-humid environment
4.) Generally, you’ll want to just spray the area around where the holes are into the bag 1-2 times per day, just don’t spray the mycelium too directly, as this will harm it
5.) Make sure it is in an area that is open, like a dining room, etc, and then wait for your mushrooms to grow!
6.) After harvesting, give the block a really good mist and then reseal the bag with a zip tie, wait for the pins to show up again before opening the bag again. This can help promote a second growth cycle, you can alternatively add cold water to the bag and then pour it out after 4-6 hours.
